A merger between the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and The Ship Registers has now been decided. 04.14.2011
The decision was annonced by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr. Trond Giske, today.
The objective is to establish and strengthen Norway's Maritime Administration as more complete.
This is a merger only and the Ship Registers NIS/NOR will continue to be situated in Bergen.
