As of 1.January 2010 physical measurement of vessels less than 15m ceases

Accordingly, "Certificates of Identity" will no longer be issued by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD)

Vessels' measurements are instead to be documented to the NOR upon registration.
Kindly note that for fishing vessels the scheme continues as before.
