The Ship Registers have examined existing fees and adjusted them in accordance with new guidelines from the Ministry of Finance
The new guidelines require the fees to be sufficient to cover the Register’s actual costs related to the provision of services covered by the fee.
Accordingly, we now have an overall simpler fee policy which also protects the Register’s goal to maintain updated and correct registers.

EXAMPLES FROM THE NEW TARIFF:

• Vessels not subject to mandatory registration in the NOR Register: Simultaneous registration of new owner, new name and new home port will only trigger one fee
• Fleet mortgage: One fee pr. ship entered into the mortgage 
• Deletion of NIS and NOR ships of 15 meters and more: will now be covered by a fee
